The Thrashers held a press release to announce that they have signed Simon Gagne to a one year contract extension worth 6 million dollars. The Thrashers are glad the Simon saw the potential in our team going forward and we hope that after a re-evaluation of our budget next year we are able to sign him more long term. Gagne will continue to play with Stamkos and hopefully will help the team make the playoffs this year and next.
