I will always vividly remember the moment where the Islanders played the Penguins on a back to back and Greiss had that flying poke check in OT. That was the first moment after Tavares left that I thought "this team is actually good without him."

better than that poke check was how he and his wife opened up their hearts and their possessions to anyone or everyone in need when Covid came a calling.…. For that I will always be a fan of his.

Shame he retired, we actually could have used him as a 3rd Goalie in our system, even though Greiss probably would not have opted to do that for us. I hope Tristan Lennox gets some experience fast in Bridgeport.
