I would take that, adds on the ice, and adds on jerseys if they would play without tv commercials.

Those are just asthetics but commercials actually effect the game

At least with hockey there's usually only 2 commercials 3max unlike football

There's this ad on one of the front windows at my work that makes me want to puke, it says something like "The Monarchs are still the KINGS of New Hampshire hockey!!"

Exactly. It's a trade off. 2 minutes of play and 10 minutes of commercials, or no commercials at all, but the jersey give you an ice cream headache just looking at them.

I second this. It's not a great place for an ad, but it really isn't that obnoxious.

I can think of about 100 other things that annoy me more than the simple word "GEICO" on a goal. As long as it literally doesn't change the game (ie players can't see blue as easily as standard red), or get really annoying (ie an electronic ad that crawls along the goal post), it's not that bad. It's less annoying than the ads that some RSNs project above the goals.

And it's way less annoying than ads on uniforms. I understand not wanting that - the NHL should have as little in common with NASCAR as possible, IMO.

Do I want it? Not really. Do I accept it if it prevents a $1 per game hike in ticket prices? Yeah. It's easy enough to ignore.

My only concern is how it affects the players and their shooting. Should be an interesting experiment to run the numbers. Other than that, the color of the posts never was a big deal to me.

Yeah, I've been seeing them all over Manchester lately.

There's one on the front door of the gym I go to.
