BOS up 3-0

Wont be easy to ketchup
Nope ... have to keep pace at least ... Wishful thinking because of the hole we are in but... It would be nice to be in striking distance by beating them in the first 3 meetings anyway.

6 points behind with 1 game in hand over Boston. I believe the SENS can, and will do it.

Boston Bruins with 37 points, playing at a .597 rate, 8 points ahead of the Ottawa Senators who are playing at a .468 rate.

Ottawa needs to pass the Habs, Wings and Bruins in order to get into a playoff spot.

Ottawa is a long shot at best, and no smart money would be put on them at this time, to make the playoffs.

We have two games directly against BOS at the end of DEC. I know the term "must win" or "most important game of the season" is overused and cliche, but those two games are must wins.

What we have, is an opportunity to almost equalize things between us and the Bruins if we win those two games. As the standings are right now, if we win both those games, instead of Boston being ahead 6 points with a game in hand, they'd be ahead only 2 points with a game in hand.

Maybe sometimes I am too optimistic, but if we can win 3/4 of our neutral games, and then 2/2 of our games against Boston, we're back in business. If we lose both those games against BOS, we might as well start deciding which bandwagons we're gonna jump on in April.

Boston won their game in hand tonight......... so the Gap is now 8 points.

Hill getting harder to climb.

Not good, but assuming we go at least .500 before then, it's those two games against Boston at the end of the month that are gonna be make or break. Beating Boston twice won't ensure we get in, but it'll turn that 8 point gap into a still hard (but not impossible) 4 point gap. We need to win both games against Boston in regulation.

We've got 4 games total against Boston, which could be up to an 8 pts swing in either direction, win the first two and things are looking much better, lose them and the season is all but a write off. The one thing that is for sure, Boston has a target on their back right now, whether from us, the Habs or the Wings. Games within the division are likely to be pretty entertaining for the next little while.

Getting around the city right now is stupid. Its taking people 2 hours to drive from Carp to get to the Queensway Carelton Hospital. Some guy just took a bus from Vanier to here and it took him over 3 hours, most of that on Baseline Rd. People were getting stuck on Robertson Rd in Bells Corners for an hour. If you're going to the game, leave very very early.
