Soderberg - Nashville (their top 2 centers are UFAs and neither of them are top-line talents. They also have an absurd amount of cap room and expiring contracts. I think it's quite possible they have Soderberg take Ribeiro's role as he may be demanding a bit more due to production. Not that Soderberg is a top-line talent, but they'll probably pass him off as a top-6 guy in their offense-by-committee approach. Playing alongside his country-mate Forsberg would have to be enticing for Soderberg.)
Campbell- Florida (they have a couple UFA 4th liners this year; familiarity between Campbell/Florida + Thornton)
Paille - Buffalo (yes, another original "going back to his old team". He'd be an addition of grit and winning mentality to a team in a rebuild; Paille may be interested to go back and be a part of that, who knows)
McQuaid - Edmonton (Chia is obviously familiar with him, and that team needs to add a whole lot of grit and "winning attitude" (god, I hate saying that) throughout their lineup; Quaider gets reunited with Ference)
Bartkowski - Chicago (cheap option with some upside that could thrive in that defense given his best asset is his puck-moving ability; we know their bottom pairing is shaky, so he could possibly fill a role there; hell, they may even be forced to use him in spot-duty in the top 4 like we were if Oduya is too expensive. Bart may not get a better opportunity anywhere else)
Bruins sign G Curtis McElhinney (Something has to give at the back-up position. We may address needs up front or on the blueline through a trade, but we pretty much know they need to look at free agents for a back-up goalie. There's no real reason for McElhinney to move on from Columbus as he's had a decent amount of success there as a back-up, but maybe the Bruins offer him a bit more than the Jackets will (Bob's cap hit jumps up next year) at something around $1 million, which he's never had before. You can't just throw Subban/McIntyre in there. We need a legit reliable back-up.)
