Greetings all,

This will be my 2nd mock draft that I've run so far this year, though this one is a lot simpler - it will commence the day after the Stanley Cup is awarded, and it will be based more on drafting. Unfortunately the last one I had I lost my master Excel file with all the draft info halfway through, so trying to rebuild it led to some mistakes. That won't be the case this time (thank you, microdrive!)

Pretty straightforward - read below.

Rules:
1. There will be trades (over the approvement of me). Trades, however, will be governed - to keep this based on drafting, trades cannot include more than 2 players, and must include draft picks to trade up and down. This is to keep things focussed.

2. There is a 10 hour time limit. You miss your turn, you miss your pick and will be decided by me or a poster on this thread. I request everyones help in making this happen - my work has disabled posting on message boards, so this will be governed by all GMs.

3. If you know you will not be around for your pick send me a proxy and I'll draft your guy for you. (Make it a lengthly proxy according to as how long your pick is away.)

4. Order will be picked by league standings as of 3:00pm EDT the day after the Cup is awarded.

5. You MUST PM the guy drafting after you, becuase when im not online, no one will know when to pick. And if any of you GM's are looming around here you could drop the next poster a line. FAILURE TO NOTIFY THE NEXT GM AND POSTING SUCH ON THE BOARD COULD RESULT IN FORFEITING YOUR NEXT PICK.

6. PM me if there is any owed picks not on the draft board, when the board goes up on March 4th.

7. Trading cannot commence until we have at least 2/3 full - this makes it more realistic, as it will give the majority of GM's the ability to try to trade up and down.

8. HAVE FUN! Nothing too serious, it's all for a good time, no one get too serious. For some info, TSN has recently posted their Mid-Season rankings, and you can check out a couple of mock drafts at www.mynhldraft.com, as well as www.nhldraftsite.com.

For a list of draft picks in this years draft, check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_NHL_Entry_Draft

9. YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST 500 POSTS TO PARTICIPATE. Too many 1st round flashouts kill the draft for the rest of the serious participants. Not to discriminate, but I've seen too many mocks die an early death from this issue.
