Fwiw - before his HORRIBLE season last year - this is where Carey Price would likely be voted in. 6th overall. But recency bias being what it is he'll probably end up much much lower.

This isn't about who the top 6 performers of last season were. It's who the top 6 hockey players are now.

As in - if you had to start a season, or playoffs or even a big tournament - who do you want and why. Track order and expectancy of future success play a big role here. If anything Karlsson at 5 - he could be higher. A year ago a lot called him top 3.

Apparently it does. Giroux just had a 102 point season and isn't even an option yet. I don't know how it's possible but he's not even going to finish in the top 20. Barkov and MacK have been 50-60 point players and have one good season and they're around the top 10.
