Line Combos: The right Mix

How do we get the right mix when I comes to our line up this season? I think it’s there, but there’s some real issues with player combos.

I feel as thought PoMo wants to see a mix of “grit” and skill on most of his lines. In some cases it works.

When we get Lowry and MP back, it’ll be a bit more interesting.

This exercise always breaks down because we are so limited in good options at C (especially now with Lowry and Little out of commission). Does anyone think that Harkins might reasonably be given a shot at C between Connor and Laine - instead of Copp or Eakin? I do recall that Harkins played C a fair bit on the Moose and in junior hockey. He seems to be very responsible defensively but with good awareness overall and some offensive skills. He also seems willing to do the grunt work on puck retrieval necessary to make these two snipers work more effectively. Certainly seems a step up on what Eakin can bring.

For me healthy I would run:

Ehlers-Eakin-Laine (He's not the passer to get them the puck, like Stastny was, but he does the work, goes to the net, and plays solidly in his own zone)
Copp-Lowry-Roslovic
Harkins-Shore-Appleton

I only play Perreault if one of these guys gets injured.
