    The Return of the King

Dominik Hasek’s return in game 1 was a successful one. Although not kept very busy, Hasek posted a shoutout last night in the Flyers 1-0 win over the Vancouver Canuks.

The Flyers’ played a very strong first and second period in front of their home crowd but were only able to put one away against Robert Esche. Stephane Yelle known as a defensive specialist scored at the 18 minute mark of the second period. That goal held up as the winner.

Simon Gagne played a very strong game registering 10 shots on goal and also hitting a crossbar early in the first and a post in the third period. The Flyers organization is happy to see that type of play from the youngster after an up and down year last year.

The Flyers play host to the Minnesota Wild tonight. Coach Lemaire told reporters that Noronen may play tonight, further speculating the Dominik Hasek is close to being traded to another team.
