Here we are at the vet again! That's the quick you're looking at. Nail came right off. Brutus doesn't seem to care though

Damn that's gotta hurt! Do you know how he managed to pull that off?

Curious, what's the bill? Your post serves as another reminder I need to buy insurance. Time keeps on slippin...

It was about $120. He got two meds to take too

Have no idea how he managed it. Must have got it stuck in the carpet or something

Thanks all. He's home resting, which is a win in itself as his larangyical paralysis made extubation risky. I've requested an oncology consult to see what we can do for him. The tieback procedure went well at least, his breathing sounds much less rough now. He's just going to be even more spoiled going forward.

Poor pup...keep spoiling him! He's lucky to have you

My wife lost her dog last year, very very suddenly. He was having trouble breathing and we thought he had a bone piece stuck in his throat as it happened before. Took him to the vet to find out he had an inoperable tumor on his throat and the vet suggested he be put down that day to avoid further suffering. It was devastating and we couldn't even give him a week of spoiling him with all the things he loved to do. When we went in to see him for the last time, he perked up and waited by the door for us to take him home.

One of the worst things I've ever experienced.
