Green hates him. If anything he'll get a shorter look here in the preseason.

Subban has now spent 130 games in the AHL and hasn't separated himself as an elite player at that level. He is almost surely a bust at this point and is way too high on this list.
Wasn't he named to the AHL All Star team?

I don't know if calling Subban a "bust" is fair... he was always a longshot, at best. Most likely his ceiling was going to be star AHLer or European leaguer. Maybe he can take that extra step and become a PP specialist in the NHL... If he does it will be somewhere like Vegas, like Norm McIver in Ottawa, back in the day

Have to agree....hard to justify calling a fourth-round draft pick "a bust" when he's already put up lots of points at the AHL-level and played in 130 games.....that definitely 'exceeds accounts-received for most guys drafted that late....and at 22, he still has time....but may have stalled out in his development....still, 16 goals from the back-end in any league, is hard to ignore, particularly on team like Utica which had next to zero offensive talent....time will tell, I guess.

The terminology doesn't really matter.

Point is that he isn't tracking to be an NHL player.

Depends what you mean by 'an NHL player'.....a comparable is Marc Andre Bergeron (5'9" and 198) who played more than 10 years in the league for a half-dozen teams....couldn't play defense to save his life, but was prolific on the pp....and that's why he consistently landed with another team....there's always another NHL team out there with a pp as bad as the Canucks, and needs a short-term boost.
