Not a good period for us. Lucky that it's 0-0 after 1. A bunch of guys have their heads up their asses. Staal, Smith--the 4th line got pinned in again and again. Our 1st line missing too many passes.

And the officiating was shit too. Ref watches Smith get crosschecked down and then when Smith returns the favor his arm goes up. The ref had a clear view of both--both were penalty worthy but only one gets called. Later Smith get drilled from behind by Svechnikov. No call on that either.

On the bright side.....if we get screwed with refs calls, or "non calls" we have a legit excuse to NOT win. Same as if......we don't score a goal in regulation the worst that can happen is an OT game. Don't score, we can ONLY vet the loser point. Devils, Detroit and Edmonton on our tails. We dont need to extend this to 6. May take 2 weeks for them to catch us by then.
