Expect the same for Hines and Troy in the coming years!

Going to have to flip back and forth between the Pirates game and the HOF game. Can't say I've ever seen the Bucs and Steelers on national TV on the same night!

Heard some first team guys are sitting this one out.

Most interested in watching the secondary, like probably most fans.

Half the team feels like it is sitting.

Of the guys I think are playing, I'm interested in seeing Tuitt, Coates, Boykin, Grant, McCullers, Dupree, JJ, and Shazier.

The only two guys I'm bummed that aren't playing are Bryant and Thomas.

Shazier has been all over the field, he's playing fast, not just running fast. That's very good to see!

Steelers need to get someone else for that 3rd QB spot. Landry is not a guy that's worth a roster spot.

Also today was a rough showing for Jesse James. Clear definitely has a leg up on that spot after today.

Antwon Blake did not do a great job tackling today, hopefully hes the fourth corner. Boykin, Shazier, Spence and Twitter impressed me today. Cam Thomas looked like he could hold a roster spot today.

Taking the wife to our first Steelers game on Oct 1st(TNF vs. Ravens). Couple of questions, should I buy tickets on Stubhub now or wait it out?

Also, where's the best bang for your buck as far as seats go? I don't want to sit too high, I want decent seats. The Canadian dollar is abysmal right now so I need to try and be frugal for this trip.

Even in Oct, during a night game, it can get cold as hell if you are at the top of the stadium. If you aren't fond of heights, I strongly suggest you avoid sitting up there.

I once sat like 20 rows behind the field in a corner, and twice I sat in the upper deck along the 50. Honestly, the cheaper seats are so much better because you can see everything (as long as you're not too high up). If you're too close you can only see your corner of the field. I assume this isn't a big issue if you're at the 50 yard line.

Don't buy into the whole 30 years of sell outs. Seats can be bought on the day of the game for under $100.

Thanks for the tips guys. If any of you have any good deals on hotels in town(friends and family codes or something) feel free to send me a PM.

Last time I stayed for 80 bucks a night for 8 nights through hotwire at the Hilton Garden Inn right next to Consol. It was an awesome deal and we really took advantage of the shuttle. My wife hates cabs so that was a life saver. Would love a hotel with a shuttle if anyone has other less expensive suggestions.

Same hotel this time around is like $160 bucks a night, factor in the 35% exchange rate and I'm well over 200 bucks a night on hotel. On top of 5 Pirates games and a Steelers game, I'm not sure I'm going to be able to eat when I'm down there lol.

One of the most consistent kickers in the league and the all-time leader in Steeler history in accuracy won't be easy to replace.

I'm a firestarter, twisted firestarter

Reed is a legend. Dude showed up on a cold, ******, rainy day tryout straight off a farm and won the kicking job. Then he went from bailing hay to making a few million, partied, beat up a towel dispenser, and got himself a SB ring.

He made Janikowski look like Gary Anderson.

Looks like they'll tryout a few kickers tomorrow. I guess you could lose a more important player for the year than a kicker, but it's still not an easy situation, especially with the extra points being pushed back to 35 yard attempts this upcoming season. Kicking may cost them some games this season and they probably can't afford that given the tough schedule.

Kickers do seem easy to find though. The last two good Steelers kickers Shaun Suisham and Jeff Reed were both free agents off the street.

Henery was absolutely awful with Detroit. He couldn't kick a field goal to save his life in an indoor stadium. I'd prefer Graham over all of the aforementioned. I'm surprised he apparently wasn't the first person to get a workout.
