Canes fan here. Here is the scoop with this guy. He can play an OK defensive game but past that do not expect much else. He is hardly ever physical, cannot forecheck, and pretty much doesn't do anything. I am delighted he is getting a shot but am also estatic that he is no longer with the team thus giving a new person a shot on our 4th line.

Bottom line: This is the lowest tier of an NHL 4th liner at best.

Cheering for him. Liked him a lot in Junior. Really goes to show you how big the step in speed is between NHL and Juniors though, he was an awesome scorer in Jr.

Excellent release . Clutch goal scorer in junior. Played terrific in the Mem Cup if I remember right.

He scored against us last year. He looked good in that game.

Saw him a few times with Carolina and liked him. Should be a good depth addition. Likely with the Dogs but you never know...
