Plekanec will rebound well this season imo. 20+20 season. He wasn't really good last year but he had awful luck last year.

Pleky needs a better start to the year vs last year. Last years start to the season was brutal for him! It's a contract year and he's got pride. I expect 40+ pts easily if he plays close to 82 games

it would be so huge if he and Gallagher rebounded from their poor seasons last year but we'll have to wait and see. He turns 35 next month, but it was just 2 years ago he had 54 pts and 60 the previous. But his goal totals over the last 3 seasons have gone from 26 to 14 to 10. Getting older you kind of wonder how he's going to reverse that trend but perhaps with a more balanced offense this year it will help him vs being the blackhole of offense last year.

It's hard to believe he could be worse, actually...

Teemu Selanne had an atrocious season at 34 years old in Colorado but went on to have numerous productive seasons after. Obviously, Plekanec isn't that kind of talent but hopefully, he'll be able to pull a Selanne.

He lost his speed and therefore has less time and space. Playing 3rd line full time against other centers who are not elite level will allow him to take advantage more IMO. Doesn't hurt to have wingers with good vision and good shots too! (Hudon)

I'd be ecstatic with 15 goals, 35pts....actually, it's what I'm expecting.

If Pleky can get back to 20 goals I'll be over the moon. I'm expecting 15 goals which is fine but he needs to be putting up more assists. With his shot which has never been that outstanding his playmaking should be a big part of his offensive game.

10 goals, 35 assists is more realistic for Pleky in a 3C role IMO. Look at his shot totals over the last few years. It's been less and less. He's a much better passer and sometimes passes in scoring opportunities which is extremely annoying!

45 points? When was the last time a defensive 3rd line center scored 45 points? Might want to rethink that one.

I also believe Plekanec will have a bounce back season and will end up our #2 center.

Anything between 40-50 point season.

He's got a decent shot, despite him scoring just 10 goals last year, he's still got an average of 21 goals a season for his career.

The good thing about him has been his health/durability. If you take out the lockout year in '13 and his rookie year in '06, he's appeared in 805 games out of 820 in 10 years. That's insane. He's like the anti-Hemsky.

45 points from the 3rd line with very little PP would be ... I wouldn't say "insane", but pretty close to this.

I guess Pleky will only be playing inside our blue line eh? Let's talk in April. Remember, I said if he plays close to 82 games so don't back track later. Also, for the record what is your prediction mr smart?

At that point he would be a 2nd line center, I think that's what a lot of us are hoping when saying he will have a 45 points season.
