Drai and McDavid are about ready to cash in. Not claiming to be an expert on their cap situation but those two are going to be taking up 16-17 million between them so it would really depend on how much Kovy wants.

I personally don't think NJ gets a lot of Kovalchuk. But some sort of asset is better than nothing especially with NJ rebuilding (retooling?) with the 1st pick this year.

Kovalchuk is a 34 year old winger, Whatever team gets him he will probably sign a 2 year deal around $5.5M-$6M per so probably a 2nd rounder is what NJ will receive.

Yeah rumor has it, The Rangers, Islanders and Panthers because he has homes close to those teams. And we all know that there's zero chance of Ray Shero trading Kovy to the Rangers.

No shot he goes to the Rangers. We've never made a trade with them and I doubt Shero is going to break that trend.
