I don't get the Tanner Glass hate. It's not the player, it's how Bylsma uses him. Glass is a 4th liner who should only be getting minimal minutes and PK time. Expecting him to be better than that is a fool's game. Blame the coach for putting him on the top lines, not Glass.

EDIT: Oh, and Kobasuck can go to Siberia for all I care. He's done nothing since the first 2 games of the season. What happened to this guy?

Glass wouldn't be as hateable if he were the clear 12th forward. Problem is him and Adams are both at best offensively challenged 12th forwards and it drags the 4th line down way too much offensively when they ice both of them together. The only way to separate them is to put Glass on a higher line but that just drags down the higher line because Glass isn't good enough to play up there. It's pretty clear the solution should be to start healthy scratching Adams but we can't because DB always needs a player in the lineup that reminds him of himself. DB clearly thought he was a more important part of the NHL teams he played for than he actually was and consequently he also believes players like Adams are more important than they actually are.

Glass isn't the problem, it's Gladams. Adams and Glass together are awful, and if you separate them, the other is on too high of a line.

Yep pretty much... Individually both can be useful 4th liners... together you have redundancy that causes m,assive issues... its like Letang and Nisky on the same pairing... two guys with the same strengths and simular instincts and playing styles arent always the best fit on the ice together

I partially disagree with the above bolded. Adams isn't useful anywhere in this line-up.

I don't know if Adams can be a useful 4th liner at this point, 99% sure he can't. Brutally slow and not particularly physical, no offensive ability. He tries but the body is not able.

It's something Bylsma does a lot.

Glass-Adams
Kunitz-Dupuis
Niskanen-Letang
Iginla-Neal
Conner-Ebbet
etc.

It doesn't really work out for him.

Very true. Neither would look terrible with a speed guy like Megna/Harry Z flanking Vitale on the other side. But both out there make the line useless.

I do wish we had one more year of Glass than Adams. Glass has actually been a "decent" 4th liner this year. Hard to fathom a whole 'nother year of Adams at this point.

Problem Kobasew creates is #AHL veteran limit. One of Kobasew, Kostopoulos, Ebett, Drazenovic, Mikkelson, Machacek must sit out every game.

Poor Chuck.

Mentioned earlier but there's a tweet about it.

For those concerned, Kobasew not playing tonight going by the expected/predicted lines.

Heard somewhere that he was on a plane to Orange County.... :sarcasm:
