Great first period. Then Skinner decides to make a mess of things and the margarita blender goes haywire with Woody.

Losing confidence in this coach. Holland can f*** off.

Bad game from some of our players who've been hard carrying the season like Skinner and that's the result. The reality is the team is poorly constructed and don't have the depth and personnel to pull the team up when a McDavid or Nurse or Skinner have a rough one. General managing gap.

Rough.

Skinner was not great, but anyone else showing up would have gone a long way, too.

The Devils are still playing that high energy, dial stuck on 11 hockey and you could tell from the start (even while outshooting them) that the team didn't really have any interest in trying to match the intensity, imo.

So on to the next.

Really happy I only saw about 1/3 of this one.

This team isn’t a lost cause, but without consistency they won’t do much more than sneak into the playoffs.

This team is straight up wasting the most talented players in the game. It's really too bad.... There's no reason they shouldn't have grabbed that game by the balls.

It's always something with this team that fails them. The scoring, the defense, the goaltending, the PK... Something always gives and makes this team lose. They played a pretty good first and then Skinner just... collapses and it was all over after that.

They games the oilers win it's a grind and barely win, the games they lose they get crushed. Can't even blame the refs on this one

With even semi-competent management, this team would be a contender every year. Unfortunately, we have been saddled with Chia and Holland for the 8 years of McDavid. Katz is a loser and Bob Nicholson covers up sexual assaults. Nuff said

By US Thanksgiving you pretty much know what you have. 80 percent of the teams in a playoff position at that time make it. I’m not here to predict they will miss, but this is what the team is showing themselves to be. A .500 hockey team that will need to battle just to make the playoffs, with two of the best players on the entire planet.

I also firmly believe that there are two big barriers to Ken Holland solving this in season - the first is he’s bad at his job. The second is nobody wants to make the mistake of giving this team the slightest leg up because with McDrai that could turn them into a great team. GMs around the league are happy to have McDrai light them up, sell tickets and advertising and lose while they are at it. The perfect scenario.

“Shit schedule” coming into this game we have played 9 games against teams in a playoff spot, and 3 of those games against top 5 teams total. Saying it’s cause it’s a “tough schedule” is bs
