Sony conference in t-minus 15 minutes. They can win over the entire gaming world just buy announcing used games work on the console. Don't know how they can **** themselves over.

Oh they can. Price it at $600 bucks and add some Giant Enemy Lobsters.
Honestly at this point I am most looking forward to Nintendo's Direct announcements then anything. Though possibility of Last Guardian and/or new Kingdom Hearts would be epic tonight.

Sony just won the console war. They basically opened up the X Bone and took a dump in its mouth.

A little disappointed that online multiplayer will no longer be free (PS4 requires Playstation + for online multiplayer), but I can live with it.

My opinion: PS4 made HUGE announcements, though at times it was kind of derpy. Xbox just showed us games, but games are awesome. Xbox was more entertaining, but PS4 was more.. dramatic. Most of the games that PS4 showed us were multiplatform games. It is difficult to win people over with exclusive launch outfits and ****.
Xbox Gold aligns with PSN and offers monthly games. PSN aligns with Xbox Gold and charges for multiplayer. That makes me quiver.
They did say that the PS4 would have two different version. Wouldn't surprise me if the $399 version was a smaller, lower budget version. Wheras the actual good one may be $499 as well. So the price might be completely irrelevant.
Not sure who won yet. I need more time (and info) to decide.

Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy 15 are enough IMO on the game front...though some Last Guardian would of been really nice. They went right for the jugular though, attacked Microsoft's really bad policy choices and drew the battle lines.
Add the price and you have.
FF XV looks insane. Probably the best game of the night. And I don't care for Final Fantasy games. Only because the turn based combat has always turned me off. But this looks like Final Fantasy and Devil May Cry had a baby, and it made me so ****ing moist it's not even funny. I just wish the dude didn't confuse us. First he said it was Final Fantasy Versus XIII, then he said Final Fantasy "14", even though it said Final Fantasy XV in the trailer. And my roman numerals are pretty good. XV is 15, not 14. It was just beyond confusing.

not happy about psn charging for online play now but i guess it was just a matter of time. hopefully this leads to more free or reduced price apps like the xbox has. i guess since i've been bumming my xbox live account off of my girlfriend it's only right that i pay somebody something eventually.

PS Plus is 5$ a month and you get free games , 15% off certain things in the PSN store . Just more perks then Xbox has
Looks like none of the actual noteworthy games come out until spring 2014 at the least anyway. Next gen consoles always has subpar games at launch. Anybody remember the PS3 or Xbox 360 launch titles? Exactly. They were bad.

The price won't be a problem for many because of the limitations that the CrapBOX One has. SONY is going to "clean up" in regards to profits because of this.
If Microsoft was smart, they would've had a feature of being able to install games to the hard drive(and then play the game without the CD) and being able to have ANYONE play the game without having to "purchase" a friggin' license(or whatever that is) in order to play.
Microsoft shot itself in the foot with this one.

meh, i'm a cheap *******. i'll probably just end up dropping netflix to pay for it, but i don't like spending much on entertainment.
i think obilvion was a launch title for ps3, though that was dual platform. that was a pretty good one. assassin's creed was pretty early in the ps3's life iirc. but yeah most launch titles suck. i'll really start caring about next gen once borderlands 3, nhl15, elder scrolls online, etc start rolling out

I can see stores like Gamestop fully supporting Sony and pushing their customers towards buying a PS4 instead of an Xbox since they'll actually be able to sell used PS4 games.

Definitely, I can see things getting very nasty on the store front with gamestop and services like gamefly.
