Pirri can definitely still put up points on that line. I'd be more pissed at Q if he sent him back down to Rockford because of Zus returning.

Go Hawks!

Though Zues is on 2 line…..the third line looks really good!

So much for Q having given Pirri the chance to play his way onto the 2nd line, because he definitely hasn't played his way off of it.

And Handzus definitely hasn't played his way onto it this year.

Nope. Still pissed about his stupid covering the puck with his hand penalty against the Lightning that cost us a point in the end. But…..I guess that **** gets you promoted a line if you are on AARP with Q.

Q is bound and determined to keep Pirri from even sniffing a Calder nomination.

That's one thing I don't care about, the Calder. It would just mean more money for Pirri next year, and we can't afford to be spending too much money on him (or anyone else)

Great GDT! Love it!

What I love even more though, is the chance to see my Hawks live tonight! Really looking forward to it as I was out of town both times they were here last year!

Also looking forward to seeing Raanta get his first start tonight!

Enjoy the game guys and Happy Turkey Day!!

I get a feeling this is going to be a tough game. Really hoping Raatna shows us something tonight and the Hawks defense does a good job helping him.

I'd rather have Kruger, Shaw, or Pirri at 2nd line center over Hanzus. Q is being a Pejorative Slur and it is really frustrating.

We are in a serious battle with St Louis for that #1 spot and Q is pulling this crap? Unbelievable.

Our centers:
Toews: 0.96 PPG
Shaw: 0.60 PPG
Pirri: 0.55 PPG
Kruger: 0.44 PPG
Handzus: 0.30 PPG

Logically, Handzus should be the #2 center, Pirri the #3 center, Kruger the #4 center and Shaw moved to wing. Lol'd.

Sharp-Toews-Hossa
Saad-Pirri-Kane
Versteeg-Kruger-Shaw
Bollig-Handzus-Smith (5 minutes a game)

Seems like a good option. So we won't see that.

Sharp-Toews-Hossa
Saad-Pirri-Kane
Bickell-Shaw-Versteeg
Handzus-Kruger-Smith

Naw. Makes too much sense.

Saad-Toews-Kane
Sharp-Pirri-Hossa

Again, simply makes too much sense.

Q will likely go with(when healthy):

Sharp-Toews-Hossa
Saad-Handzus-Kane
Bickell-Shaw-Versteeg
Bollig-Kruger-Brookbank
Healthy Scratch: Smith
To Rockford: Pirri

Keith-Seabrook
Hjalmarsson-Oduya
Kostka-Rozsival
Healthy Scratch: Leddy

Yep, that looks like a Coach Q lineup for the playoffs until we are down 3-0, 2-0, 3-1, 2-1 in the series and he switches it up to something semi-reasonable.

It just amazes me the stupidity of this decision. We are at a big disadvantage if St Louis finishes ahead of us and we can't be dicking around playing Bollig 15 minutes a night and Handzus at 2nd line center when we have so many better options.

Hawks and NHL are about 1/3 of way thru season

A little early to start worrying about the playoff standings , etc

It's always too early until its too late. Points are points whether you get them on the 1st day of the season or the last. It is dumb to have an inferior lineup(barring injuries) any day of the season. It is simply idiotic to put a broken down player like Handzus on the 2nd line with Kane who he has continually shown to have no chemistry with. The old fart who has no business on the 2nd line will continually be given opportunities but Pirri never gets a shot until far after he "earned" it and he had the audacity to put a defenseman, Sheldon Brookbank as the 3rd line winger instead of a reasonable option like Morin. Just frustrating to see this kind of lineup management. Old=good, offense=bad, physical=most important, young=bad(except if you are on Q's short list).
