The Chicago Bears move one step closer to moving to the suburbs (UPD: now pushing for a lakefront city-owned dome?)

Oh, and it looks like they cut back on parking? Not very serious, unless they want a prohibitively expensive underwater parking cavern.

Not impressed because I judge a facility by how many seats are actually good seats. Pretty much every new stadium or arena has the upper deck way way too high and too far back.
Give me a place where most or all the seats are close and have a good view, it can be done.

It's time for the NFL to end the practice of giving just one Super Bowl to certain new venues and never come back and instead fairly rotate the game among the league's 30 markets. This would give the NFL the distinction of being the only big 4 league where every team's home venue is guaranteed to host the final round at some point due to the neutral site nature of the event. The other big 4 leagues split the final round between the home venues of the participating teams. There is not currently a league where every team has hosted the final round, MLB is closest to that with only the Mariners not advancing to the World Series.

Some of the cities lack the hotel space. Jax needed cruise ships to manage the influx of people. Plus, they don’t want tonolay in cold weather open air stadiums. Got lucky with Ny where they missed a snow storm by a day.

Besides look at some of these cities and teams. Already asking for money to replace a stadium that’s 25 odd years old.

Right now, Cleveland has gone longer without hosting a playoff game than any other team. We can thank Art Modell for that. The NFL should give Super Bowl 62 to New Orleans and re-award 59 to Cleveland. Besides, by doing that New Orleans can celebrate its 310th anniversary in style, which would make up for not getting 52 to celebrate their 300th anniversary.

There’s zero chance that the NFL gives a Super Bowl to a non-NYC cold weather stadium without a dome.
Saying MetLife Stadium got that Super Bowl just because it was NYC is the dumbest excuse of all time.

Time for the NFL to consider more cold-weather Super Bowls, particularly in stadiums like in Cleveland that have not hosted postseason football in a long time.

That’s the reason why the NFL made an exception, though. Wake me up when a different cold weather, open air stadium gets a Super Bowl. None of the suits are going to go for a Super Bowl in a traditionally cold market like Cleveland, Buffalo, or even a big market like Chicago unless there’s a roof over the heads.
