Has anyone read this? I listened to a podcast about it and was blown away by the content. I'm coming from an engineering background so no deep understanding of physics, but i've dabbled in enough engineering sciences and Calc+DiffEQ to be geeked out by the concepts discussed.

But because I don't have a strong background in physics or cosmology I can't see if something he's saying is incorrect, which can be a real problem if he's trying to form a new worldview.

I liked this podcast (P1 & P2 below) a lot. Naval Ravikant is an investor/entrepeneur in the tech field and he has Bret Hall

I heard the first 39 minutes or so and it seems biased (overly optimistic) in favor of science, humanity, and technology. From what those two are relating, Deutsch seems more like a popular scientist than a scientist per se. "None of those theorems that we cannot prove at the moment are inherently interesting." To which I would answer: You would not have a discipline of physics were it not for mathematics.
