I'm starting to get the shakes. It's a little disappointing I don't have enough in my life to keep me occupied for two weeks, to help me through this break.

I guess if they weren't doing too well, it would have helped. So part of the blame is on them for being so entertaining.

Of note,.. How proud are we of Trouba stepping up in Fox's absence? Manning the first powerplay like he's been there all year, playing better than 25 minutes a game, setting up guys for easy goals, getting 3 points in the 3 games Fox missed.

He's been good all year, but has really stepped it up in Fox's absence.

10lb pork shoulder and a couple smaller racks of ribs for the smoker tomorrow morning. Brined 6 hours, will sit in the rub overnight, get 10 hours of smoke tomorrow.

Im not sure I understand why we have so much time off yet there are a shit tonne of other games being played by other teams.

Not sure it was answered, but our 3 games that needed to be made up were rescheduled prior to the NHL backing out of the Olympics. So the NHL was not going to reschedule again to the big break and just left it as is with the games rescheduled before/after the break. Teams that had games postponed after us or had too many postponements for the NHL to reschedule at the time were moved to the big break period.

yeah, I think to some degree. w/o games being played......forces you to look at the other aspects of your life. you know, things that need to get done......like repairing a closet, putting new halo headlights on your car, yardwork.......feeding the dogs, you know, stuff like that.
