It would take some things to go right but a couple of lucky plays and a mistake or 2 by Georgia and it could happen .

They are still going to have byes. The sport is top-heavy and more years than not the playoffs will resemble such.

FSU needed an awful BC to take 18 penalties (got outgained by over a hundred yards) to beat them - struggled past Miami and Pitt - Duke was beating them, while driving for another score when FSU took out the Duke qb. They would have lost that game too.

Throw in all the whining they did about the playoff and they don't even show today. Pathetic, as expected. GA still would have mauled them if both teams were full strength.
