Continuing on with the time honoured tradition, the First Goal of the Game game is underway!

---> ---> ---> CFHF's "First Goal of the Game" Game <--- <--- <---

1. Pick the three players you think may get the first goal, along with the situation (Even Strength, Power Play, Short Handed, Penalty Shot)
2. Enter your HF username
3. Hit submit

Format:
- Your first pick gets you 3 points
- Your second pick gets you 2 points
- Your third pick gets you 1 point
- Guessing the correct scoring situation gets you a bonus point
- Picking 'shutout' or 'loss' gets you eternal damnation

Once the official game time* has passed, no more picks are allowed. Please make sure to get your picks in ahead of time to be fair to everyone. Good luck!

*Official game time is the scheduled start of the game as stated by the NHL (and Calgary Flames) schedule.*

I find it harder and harder to pick someone to score from that list.
Going with the lunch pail guys. Duehr, Coleman. Seems like they're actually trying to score.
Not a bad idea. I took Backlund because he's gotta get one soon, I'd imagine/hope. Lindholm on the PP against the Oilers was my second choice as this seems completely likely to happen. Then I think I went with Hanifin because he's had chances and no goals to show for it. He's going to pot one eventually.

I am excited for the Heritage Classic but I am worried about getting devastated if we look awful. Here's honestly hoping this is the turning point where the team finally gets it going. Whether it be by luck, intestinal fortitude, or just a hatred for the team up north... Whatever, I just want them to have success. GFG.

That's the approach I've taken this season. Two of my picks are guys who are supposed to be complementary scorers, and one guy who should be scoring but might luck out and deflect the puck off his ass (you know who I'm talking about!)

It's also prudent to mention Zaddy and Dube had maintenance days yesterday
