Idk how it would happen, and if it did it'd probably cost something that wouldn't make me happy, but getting a first round pick would be cool. I'd even settle for an early second.

Feel like killer will be the only one moved today, would happily take a couple of picks back. Going to be a challenging time with many players being moved but we all knew it was going to happen.

We're trying to get into the first round. I doubt it happens unless Stamkos is the guy on his way out. I think it's more likely we trade Killer for a 2nd, and Johnson for... well, if he has positive value... It's really tough to say with Johnson because it depends on how many desperate destinations are on his list that we can play off each other.

I wonder if Johnson might be more like the Bishop trade returning Cernak in that they find a random mid-tier prospect that they happen to like.

Well the argument could be made that Johnson was a victim of our depth. Just one season ago he lead the entire team in even strength goals (27) and had 29 goals total. Sure these playoffs, he played on our 2nd line on paper, but the entire line struggled, he didn't get much time with our big guns, not much PP time etc. Same story during the reg but then he played on our 3rd line even.

JT Miller got us a 1st while playing on the 3rd and 4th for most of the season so... He should still be good for 15-20 goals in a 82-game season and with 93 career playoff games under his belt and a Cup ring he defenitely has value. It's anybody's guess how much GMs are willing to give up for that in these unusual times though (flat cap, covid, season starting in January (?), with our without fans in the stands and (not) buying merch, ...).

I meme about it every year, but for once, teams are allowed to delay just giving their picks to congratulate the Stanley Cup Champion.

Pierre McGuire keeping the beard so far.

Looks a bit better a little more grown out, but whatever.
