We'll unlock this thread JUST as the Draft starts on Friday. Same drill as the previous years, there will be Draft Selection specific threads for people to discuss that specific draft pick; any Avs-related trade that happens will get its own thread created for its discussion.

I'd say it's okay to post any draft-related trade rumors, but if by some chance one of the Hockey Insiders starts tipping picks, please don't post those in here.

We'll use this thread as sort of a "catch-all" for tonight. IF a trade rumor is to be posted, make sure to cite who it's from (if it's a tweet, make sure it's not a fake account, and post the tweet).

Let's get started!

If Avs don't have a "Meet your Makar" headline if they pick him, their headline game is as weak as their power play.

The O'Reilly trade at the draft was pretty exciting...bittersweet but exciting to have it done and get more back than Sabres fans were claiming we would get.

A repeat tonight would be nice.

Watching nhl network coverage and alot of praise for makar. Sounding like a lot of people has him as number one among defenseman. I still prefer miro since he is better defensively and a safer pick but im starting to come around on makar and will be ok if/when he is the pick
