I'm not familiar with the story except for the link the OP posted, and I don't know anything about pittsburghhockey.net, but....not sure if real? It's just weird to me that they're posted in that same format everyone and their mother used when concocting alternate jersey ideas on the internet.

I think that we can all breath a sigh of relief that by the late '90's, developments in pharmaceuticals used to treat hallucinatory disorders had all but cured designers of the "visions" that led to most of that era's hideous and criminal jersey/logo designs.
