Terrible Players That Coaches Love

Who are some players on your favorite team that gets a ton of minutes for no reason (so saying Dan Girardi since that's the common one these days).

For the Devils, it's John Moore. The guy is a horrible defenseman. Horrific positionally and if it wasn't for his skating he would not be a hockey player in any league. Yet for some reason John Hynes (who has a pretty terrible record at evaluating defenseman) loves him and plays him top 4 minutes when he's healthy and starts him over better defenseman such as Yohann Auvitu, Jon Merrill, etc.

John Moore just gets too much ice time. But the love for him is definitely justified.

But I definitely agree that Hynes is a terrible coach at judging defensemen. The fact Auvitu is in Albany right now is the biggest joke ever.

I'm sorry I didn't intend that. I just know that Vey had a lot of family issues which might have affected him, and Willie seems like a very caring person even if he isn't the greatest of coaches.
