The Avalanche lose Game 1 to the Winnipeg Jets 7-6 after Alex Georgiev's shockingly awful performance singlehandedly ruins what was actually a solid performance for Colorado in a game where they were the better team. There is no more discussion to be had, it is Justus Annunen's net from now on, Georgiev cannot go back in. The Avalanche did everything they needed to do to win this game and proved that they can beat the Jets, but now it comes down to a response in Game 2 to even up this series before coming home to Colorado.
