Paywall. Calgary hires (former) CWHL player to help translate for two new guys at development camp. Imagine an equipment manager having to outfit a goalie with all new equipment and trying to describe how and why he has to do all these different measurements to get the right fit (never mind that the helmet he's currently wearing is dangerous and needs to be changed immediately; also all the equipment he'd been using in Europe is NHL illegal). Then word of mouth is getting out how they've been treated and how much is being done to help the guys improve.

Also have the "shiny, new franchise" going for them and an amazing, unexpected run to the Stanley Cup Final in their first season. (And their AHL franchise reached the Calder Cup finals this season.)
Sharks have also signed a number of undrafted free agent out of their development camp rosters. (Not finding a specific article on it at the moment.) Sharks have used picks in many trade deals (TDL, in season, at draft), so have to find those good undrafted players to fill their roster.
Why wouldn't a team try and put its best foot forward and recruit the undrafted CHLers and college kids as a potential franchise player in the future?

Vegas’ practice facility, City National Arena, is one of the newest in all of the NHL. It’s state-of-the-art amenities and location have served as a recruitment tool for the Golden Knights to invite some of the best unsigned rookie free agents on a try-out basis.
This is obviously not groundbreaking. Teams have been using development camps as a means to discover unsigned talent for years. But Vegas’ unique setup allows them to attract more talent than most.
