Any players that made a case for a spot in national team?
To be fair i only kept my eye on Frondell, Ekberg and Ihs Wozniak, and i watched only the half game. I didnt saw much from Ekberg. Frondell 1 nice backhand goal but apart from that not so much from him, Ihs Wozniak the best of those 3.

Some other players did nice moves and passes, nice hockey sense etc..

Game 2 tomorrow

Boumedienne looks to me like the most talented player. Also liked Klingsell & Gästrin. Ekberg has shown glimpses.

Noticed that many of the top guys in this age group are very meh skaters. None of them really have speed to break away from their defenders. Still very early but could become a problem later on.

Noticed the same thing at TV Pucken. Does make me wonder how much of an affect covid and how that was handled in regards to junior hockey has to do with their development in that area.

Don't know if this is completely accurate (I didn't watch game #3), but should be pretty ok.

Swedish 2007's are very impressive. Definitely some future NHLer's in that group.

Frondell and Ekberg are 2 very strong players.

Wonder if we could see a 2008-born winger in the next squad as an underager? I know it's highly unlikely but Elton Hermansson has been incredible this season. 34 points in 14 games in U16 and lately he's been playing with Modos J18. Scoring 1+5 in the first two games in Nationell Norra(!) and is tied for first in scoring in the entire league. Small sample of course but the kid is oozing skill! Incredible for a U15 player and a name to watch for sure.

I think the federation has decided not to invite any underaged players to the U16 and U17 squads. Impressive stats nonetheless.

Ah, didn't know that. Guess we'll have to wait until next season then! Yeah, got elected to the all-star team in Modocupen aswell after another strong performance there. Should be turning some heads by now for sure.

Fun little extra tidbit: brother of Simon, the guy who joined Bachelor and has that shirtless, holding a rose EP picture.

Now I hope the little one makes it big only for the reason lots of hockey fans will have to live the surprise of clicking through from his Elite Prospects page to see what the brother is up to in the hockey world and see that.

You can watch the games yourself here: Turnaj 3 zemí U16: Finsko – Česko

It was disappointing. Felt there was no cohesion in the team. A lot left to give, they played a lot better in Finnkampen.
I watched the games, and I felt the same way. I also thought they brought a weaker team than to Finnkampen. Additionally, the rink is pretty much north american size in Czechia (if I'm not mistaken?) which could be a factor. Another misfortune was that Filip Ekberg got injured in the second game, or atleast didn't play any more.

Apart from the dissapointing play, which players impressed you the most? if any

Personally I was pretty impressed by Viktor Klingsell. I thought his decision making was excellent and he was able to consistently set up plays. It's astounding he didn't get any assists with all the chances he created. His shot is also pretty good, altough he doesn't really do one-timers which limits him. His skating isn't anything special. He makes smart moves whithout the puck allowing him to get about a breakaway per game.
