Niederbach - Ekmark - Torgersson
Lysell - Dower - Olausson

Pretty decent team if everyone are available! Should have a chance to medal.

Highly doubt Raymond or Holtz would be released for this tournament. Adding players late also becomes a bit more complicated when the tournament is played in NA.

Still can't believe it LMAO

Well, roster looks pretty good, would put Niederbach at center and maybe Rosen on his wing

I would like to switch places Holtz/Nybeck or Holtz/Eklund and not play Raymond/Holtz on the same line. But that will not happen.

Leo Lööf will probably grab a spot on defense.

Leo Lööf at eliteprospects.com
Right now it's pretty likely he'll be on the roster, there's also Forsfjäll who could nab a spot. Johannesson is 50/50 as he has been injured for the majority of the last 1½ year.

Looks good overall. But does Magnusson play center?
Not in a while, so he will more than likely not play center. There's Stenman, & Hallén for uninspiring C's who could take a C spot.

I think you guys will be the favorite, considering the Canadians won’t have all their best players available.

We almost beat Canada in Hlinka (2-3 SO). Without Raymond and Holtz.
So yes, Sweden should have a really good chance to take the gold again :)

I think there is a chance Eklund and Grans will not be released if they keep playing so good in SHL.

Without Eklund, Grans, Raymond, Holtz:

Robertsson - Niederbach - Nybeck
Magnusson - Ekmark - Torgersson
Rosen - Ljungman - Olausson
Lysell - Dower - Tärnström
N.Andersson

Andrae - Lööf
Wallinder - Ramberg
Johannesson (injured?) - Anton Olsson
Styf

Wallstedt
Clang
Vikman

But probaly Dower, Niederbach, Olausson, Olsson wont make it, swe coaches always want some grinders instead...yuck.

Olausson is injured and will likely not play in this tournament.

Just finished watching the games from the 5-nations tournament. Even though they only won one game I thought they played pretty well for the most part. Defensively this team could do very well if they limit Styf's minutes and if Grans steps up his game, the other D-men looked good or great. Niederbach not playing center is very strange but hardly unexpected, the center position is a weakness as always these days. Can't complain about our forwards as a whole, maybe we are missing a pure finisher like Holtz.

tbh I'm not sure if Styf should even be on the team, I feel others have passed him.

Andrae, Grans, Wallinder, Johannesson, Lööf, Forsfjäll, & Ramberg would be my 7, and there's cases to be made for others, too. Got some good depth there.
