I've seen dozens of Maple Leaf ones, and still can't quite figure out what they mean.

It's usually two numbers, then ML, then another two numbers. Seems very random.

Not sure if it's the orange or the split & vertical line between the two colours, but I've always thought the Oilers ones looked awful.

Nice touch with some of the slogans at the bottom on some of these. It definitely adds to the purpose of having a team plate.

....Right, but vanity plates are different. Whoever buys them usually has a say on what goes on the plate, assuming it's:

a) not already taken
b) not crude

But with these Leafs ones it appears people just order a vanity plate and then get a random jumble of numbers next to a Leafs logo. Kind of defeats the purpose of a vanity plate, IMO.

What's the point?

IDK but I think most of the branded plates are more vanity designs rather than vanity numbers (which also exist obviously). I'm not sure if they also custom numbers for custom designs depending on the place. The point is that it looks nice and shows your allegiance I guess.

This is the typical Canes license plate. Basically the same as the NC plate minus the Canes logo.

On another note, NC has had the same plate for a long ass time.
