Ceulemans makes most sense, especially with Lambos gone, though, admittedly, I haven’t followed this class as much.

I see Raty as a gamble without knowing how he thinks but I hope that Chevy and our scouts could figure out his struggles and get him back on course. His upside is huge.

I would prefer Logan Stankoven or Isak Rosen which would both be fantastic options at the 17 spot ... but they're not listed on this mock draft *options*

I acknowledge I defer to most of you on the picks, as I do not know the prospects besides what I read here.

I selected Aatu Raty - I really like the huge upside potential that I have read.

To me, 17th pick is an absolute crap-shoot - so I went with the big potential play.

Some big misses, some average players, some very good players at this pick over the last 15+ years:

I like Ceulemans here. But I'm intrigued by Raty. Really hard to get a handle on whether he's just a dud, or whether he is just in a temporary funk and will re-emerge as a legit top 2 C.

I'm leaning Ceulemans here, but I'm intrigued by Cossa as well. Either as our own pick, or as a trade down scenario. I would imagine the Oilers may be interested in Cossa, and may pay a little to trade up to make sure no one else does.

Also interested in Raty, if the org has done all of their due diligence and feels like he can reach his ceiling.

I voted Cossa. I've been wanting them to take a top tier goalie in the 1st round for years. We know that our D is going to shorten Helly's career, possibly his lifespan.

I think Cossa isn't a terrible idea.

I went with Ceulemans, but I’m equally intrigued by Morrow and wouldn’t object to Cossa with an eye to the future of the crease.

If we use the pick, then Corson Ceulemans fits the bill, but I’m hoping we package the pick in a trade to improve our top RHD

I'm with you on that - but only if we go all in on the acquisition. If it is a half-hearted effort, I would just as soon wait for Ceulemans.

Ceulemans seems like the obvious pick here if we don't want to galaxy brain it to much. I'm also not opposed to Cossa, will take some time to develop him and gives us some insurance down the line just in case. I also really like Pinelli and L'Heureux.

Funny that in a year when many said the draft would be wildly unpredictable, there seems to be a remarkable consensus around the top 15-20 in various projections / rankings. I wonder which player(s) might use down to #16-17 like Connor and Barzal did in 2015. Any dark horses rising into the top 15?

I voted Ceulemans. But granted, I'm not super knowledgeable about this draft class as I was in previous years.

Raty is a name I've come across, and I could be tempted to go there.

I'm hoping this pick is used along with other assets for help on D.
