bad time to trade goalies tbh. teams all know most teams will cut a third goalie if they have three non eligible guys instead of running a three headed monster.Would have thought someone would. He's a decent to good backup. Depends on the situation. He's cheap too. Was honestly surprised we couldn't find a taker for a 5th or 6th round pick in 2022.

cutting him this early was probably the best chance for tampa to keep him. right now all the teams are still trying their prospects / seeing if their pickups suck .

you clear a million and a bit when you drop someone assuming they make that much so if it wasnt in the cap friendly calculation it would be more than 100k.Would really like to clear a couple of these goalies. Are Domingue's cap savings already factored into the 8.5 in space we have? Or does this get us like an extra 100k?

He's pretty bad... Terrible numbers on a good team too.Best back up in the league though if you ask some Tampa bay fans
He’s definitely NHL caliber, but he’s a victim of numbers as there’s only so many spots available and he’s not clearly better than any other backup options for teams who can afford him.
He would also require a contract spot and you’d lose your position in the waiver wire. It’s mostly just bad luck for him.
Not really. He was actually pretty terrible despite his W/L record. Tampa found themselves down 0-2 in many of the games he started. That being said, he had the ability to make a big save when needed most, allowing the Lightning's elite offense to bail him out.Best back up in the league though if you ask some Tampa bay fans
No takers hey??.. actually shocked
This isnt fantasy hockey by the way. He’s definitely NHL caliber, but he’s a victim of numbers as there’s only so many spots available and he’s not clearly better than any other backup options for teams who can afford him.

It's that time of year again when the myths that never die start to sprout anew.
Waiver priority order doesn't change because a team makes a claim.
