Nashville needs another really good scoring threat.LW opposite Granlund is where I see him slotting in. Hall is the type of player that would make Granlund thrive. If he doesn’t want to re-sign in New Jersey and will sign in Nashville, what would it cost?

You’d think to get this done Nashville would have to send granlund in the package. My guess is it would look something like Granlund + Tolvanen + Fabbro +. I mean the guy is a year removed from the heart trophy.

If it’s at the trade deadline next year i bet it wouldn’t be as much as us devils fans hope for to be completely honest

Taylor Hall is going to sign in Calgary, show up to the press conference in his Calgary Flames PJ's, and tell everyone there that this has been his dream since he was a little boy. See below for example.

Probably something better than what mark stone returned because Ottawa sucks at negotiating

I also think getting jack Hughes increases the chance of him resigning so we will see what happens

Hall is gonna walk so they aren’t gonna get much for him. Something like half of what Ottawa got for Karlsson sounds about right.

One year left pending UFA status, just coming off an injury.. but also a former league MVP. The definition of a power forward. Hard to peg a value.

Hall has said multiple times that he wants to play in the playoffs. That’s not gonna happen in New Jersey. So he is leaving. Simple as that.

Taylor Hall played in the playoffs literally one (1) year ago....?

Devils are also getting Jack Hughes and are armed with plenty of picks/cap space this summer to make upgrades.

How about we wait until he is actually allowed to sign a contract extension and/or what the Devils roster looks like at the start of the season before we make baseless claims, k?

No problem with NJD as an org, but I kind of hope he decides to walk for nothing - the universe has to balance out their ridiculous lottery luck at some point right?

Hall is probably too big a fish for the Preds to go after in a trade. With him, you have to give up big assets and then turn right around and give him an enormous new contract as well to protect your investment. There are better options for the Preds to chase than Hall.

If Hall would become available I am sure there would be multiple suitors. The Devils might not get a kings ransom but they'd still get a good deal.

That’s the thing. People are out of their minds if they think Shero will let Hall walk without a return. Re-signing is up to Taylor of course, however If Ray lets him walk for nothing I’d assume that would be a fireable offense. Hall can only walk for free if the devils let him. Hence there being no way in hell the devils let him get to July 1st 2020. Either he will re-sign or be traded...it’s that simple.

We hope. But Ray is a smart GM, so I have confidence Ray will do the right thing.
