This was already posted and is being discussed in the free agency thread. It could become super confusing if similar discussion is occurring in two different threads.

Hall is NOT what the Avs need.

It's like adding Ricky Nattiel to the roster to give Elway more weapons. You get one TD in the Super Bowl before you are blown out cause your defense sucks.

Not the most reputable/well-known source. Hall would be a great fit on this team though, on a short-term deal.

If we can get Hall, a two-way RHD, and a 3C (possibly at the deadline if needed) then there's not much to not be excited about.

I still believe Hall was Colorado bound last season until Arizona went full re*** and overpaid to rent him.

Hall is not what we really need but not opposed to it the deal is for 1 or 2 years as rumoured. As long as it still leaves enough chips for Sakic to deal with our D.

As long as it doesn’t conflict with MacK’s next contract it doesn’t matter that much to me. I was super underwhelmed by him in playoffs and would much rather go after a player that fits our needs more (top 4 D and 3C), but I can understand why management would want to pick up a former league MVP on a short term deal.

I don’t believe this. At least, I don’t believe this particular guy has actual inside knowledge of it. But werent deals leaked all the time back before the interview period existed? I definitely remember contracts being announced at noon on the nose which makes for some pretty quick negotiating. Are they enforcing the tampering rules any more than they used to?

I thought they weren't allowed to do anything, even talk to the player or the agent until free agency opens
