that would be value for a unsigned Hall, the team that will acquire him will most likely be with an extension.

Hawks are 3 pts above NJ in the standings but are buying high end UFAs to be at the expense of 1st rd picks while NJ are selling. Makes sense.

Chicago's 1st is a decent asset but the rest is of little value to NJ.

Neither team does this.

And why would Dan Ferris and Taylor Hall agree to that?

I am not saying that it is impossible that Hall goes in a Stone, Pacioretty kind of deal which certainly would improve the return but IMO that is not the likelier scenario. Which is that Hall gets traded as a rental for rental value and picks his next team on July 1st.

Also IMO that is too much for even a signed Hall given that the Blackhawks are far from a lock to make the playoffs...

I just dont see this being worthwhile for the devils. If they sell Hall it should be for young pieces/picks, not another pending ufa and a bottom 6 vet. The 1st is nice though

Taylor hall isn't worth giving up a 1st round pick or any young asset .
Chicago will probably end up at the bottom of the league again and has no cap space either to offer hall to extend him.

Chicago needs to come to a Jesus moment and realize toews, Keith, Seabrook are all washed up.

Fire Stan and JC bring in a GM who has a proven track record and no emotional ties to this core and off load these guys and rebuild the team.

Devils are not getting a 1st AND a blue Chip prospect for Hall unsigned, we can all level set on that right?

I think that they can get a first and a solid B to B+ level prospect for a rental Hall. Would agree that they are not going to get a first + a blue chip A level prospect though.

Depends on which teams first we are talking. It's not going to be someone like Chicago who will be a bubble mid round first pick AND a B prospect of it happens. It would likely be a cup contender and a B if it happens. So like 28-31 OA and a B

Not getting a 10-18th OA pick and B prospect

Gustafsson yes for sure. But the Hawks can't give up their 1st because what would be the point of owning the draft lottery good luck talisman without a freaking lottery pick?!

Gustafsson + Saad + prospect for Taylor Hall.

Disagree. Boqvist is overrated.
Yeah and one can make this call at this point in his young career. :confused:o_O:eek:
And to the OP .. Musto Musto Musto .. why why why would we want Taylor Hall? As a rental to a team that is bubble at best? To resign at what crazy cap hit? No let's stay the course and get another high pick and rebuild the natural way.
