I have your gold medal Zippy!
Yes. It's a Christmas miracle.
That would be Jethro getting one of his RFA's to sign for just their qualifying offer.

Honestly, this nearly makes up for last night. Nobody saw those wins, nobody
Ten points back of Colorado. Eleven back of Nashville. 12 back of San Jose. Those are our options if this team is indeed a "playoff contender". A reasonable man will conclude that playoffs are not an option this year, but we have the brain trust of Benning, Linden, and Weisbrod manning our ship. Besides, we just have to win those four games in hand and now we're... still not in the playoffs. When has this team been able to string together more than three wins in a row this season?
23 games to go... Here's hoping we draft a good pick.
Thursday's tank games:
- OTT @ VAN (need OTT win, in regulation)
And most importantly,
Canucks vs. Senators OTT win
Good luck tonight guys! Hopefully, we can help you out with your tank and our playoff push at the same time.
Does anyone possibly think we're going to have 6 more wins than Colorado/SJS/NSH in 23 games? Even if all of them go .500 we'd have to win like 18 damn games.

3.8% odds right now. We don't even get a *chance* (read, 1 scenario of getting WC Wildcard 2) unless we're 13-9-1 and I highly doubt we can pull that off.
Maybe reality will sink in before the trade deadline for Benning and company.
Trading Hammer and Vrbata gives us soem assets and also gives us a chance to look at some younger guys, although we don't really have younger Dmen deserving of NHL time at this stage.
season has been pretty much wasted.
So terrified that even if they admit they are sellers they are going to target multiple mediocre assets in return for Hamhuis/Vrbata and not lesser numbers of premium assets. I also think there is a good chance they come out of deadline day with less picks (or downgraded picks) in 2016 and 2017 then they went in with.
Yeah that seems to be the way it's going...guess nobody told them the importance of RFA's and ELC's in this CBA. Hopefully, HOPEFULLY he doesn't trade our firstSo terrified that even if they admit they are sellers they are going to target multiple mediocre assets in return for Hamhuis/Vrbata and not lesser numbers of premium assets. unfortunate you aren't aware your team needs 3 top 5 picks to ever think of winning a championship, as our enlightened fan base will tell you
Thats why we traded picks for Larsen
Farhan saying the Hawks have major interest in Hamhuis and Vrbata.
The Hawks 1st rounder is basically a 2nd. Benning will see that as a win since he likely couldnt get more than that from anyone else. Linden setting the value by saying its a buyer's market doesn't exactly help. Morons.
