That offer is awful. Come on, you can do better than that.

Run the numbers on Pysyk vs Tanev, show me where there's a huge gap in talent and skill. The huge gap is in health and Pysyk has played all 164 games for FLA since coming over 2 years ago. Tanev aveagred more TOI but way less games played. Considering age, health and contract, Pysyk's value is pretty damn close to Tanev. Adding Mascherin makes it that much closer.

Tanev won't be traded because he is more valuable to the Canucks then what his value is thought of around the League. A late 1st or high 2nd is probably the best the Canucks are getting.

Why. Trade. Tanev?? He's a great D-man and he's the perfect leadership we need for younger guys like Juolevi, our fabulous collection of young 5th and 6th d-men and whomever we hopefully get with the 7th OA. Up and comers like Petterson, Dahlen, should not be thrown to the wolves on a team that can't get the puck out of its own zone. And as you continually find out, nobody else really wants/values him. They don't know what he's capable of because they haven't actually seen him play.

Canucks will have a different cadence this coming season. Perhaps Tanev will prosper?

There is no real tangible reason to trade him. Benning does not seek picks. Canucks aren't stacking for a Cup run. Canucks do not have a replacement.
