McDonagh - Girardi is still the best pairing in the NHL.

Hell, even if the Bolts would have acquired Erik Karlsson, the potential Hedman - Karlsson pairing would have still played behind that pairing.

They were good, mostly due to McDonagh and now Girardi isn't a 10th of the player he was and McDonagh I would say isn't the same player either.

This is the perfect example of Girardi in NY on the top pair lol. You can just see Mcdonagh suddenly thinking "f***, Girardi 1v1 against Ovi", and he tries to get back and help him but it was too late.
