I thought some of you guys might find this interesting. I took out my old draft previews and took some pics so you guys can see what they looked like back then. I have every single preview. The first was published in 1986. Also, I didn't bother taking out the 2005-2008 issues since they aren't really that old. If you guys want me to I can though.

Also, if you guys have any questions about certain players and what was said about them, just ask.

One post will probably be too big so I'll just add them in multiple posts.

If this is a stupid idea for a thread just say it lol I just figured some might find it neat.

Uh...

Isn't the Lucky Pierre the guy in the middle of a man train? Is there another, non-gay usage of Lucky Pierre that I'm not aware of? It's just really... weird... to see that.

Thanks.

Bure's feet look monstrous before his frame filled out. I forwarded the Shanny pic to a friend of his.

When I see that pic of Jagr all I can think of is "Neun und neunzig luftballoons..."

Primeau's mullet is fantastic.

Foote: "He plays pretty physical but he's more offensively inclined than defensive."

:biglaugh:

Someone out there gets at least 5 figures a year, probably 6, to write stuff like this.

Here's my ticket to stardom as a hockey scout/writer: Ah, I was gonna attach a picture of the Tabloid Story Dart Board from Blankman, but would you believe that there isn't a picture of it online?!? :D

Despite the prestige of being a professional journalist these guys aren't going to be making 6 figures. Regardless though, this is the hype we all get caught up in on draft day. It's likely that Foote was a more offensive dman in his earlier days, before he filled out and toughened up. It wouldn't be the first time a player evolved differently than expected.
