Best news in this article is that Chara will be back next year!

Still shutting out opposition best team players and the best PKer in NHL.

It will be a very sad day when he hangs them up.

Exactly what I took from this as well.

Some will get on Chara but he was downright dominant this season. He has reduced his own role in terms of offense and transition but still has it in him to make clever finesse plays... he showed it on occasion.

In five years he will still be better than Hal Gill.

“I dearly hope Torey hasn’t played his last game (with the Bruins), this year or going forward. He’s been a big part of any success we’ve had as an organization. He’s a special player, both on and off the ice. He means a lot in the locker room and I think everybody could acknowledge his attributes on the ice and his importance to our team,” said Sweeney.

Love the “dearly” at the start. Got to think they get this done - both sides want it. They’ll figure out what works for each other.
