Also Arne "Brand-Johan" Johansson, won Sweden the first World Championship medal in 1947, by far the best Swedish goaltender of the post-war years. Similarly Thord "Flodan" Flodqvist, was a part of the first gold-winning team in 1953, but especially in 1957 when ill and injured he eliminated the Soviets in Moscow. After that together with "Honken" Holmqvist (who has to be much higher than 9th) Kjell "Mistluren" Svensson, they solified Sweden's place as an international top team and perennial contender.
