Galchenyuk hopefully gets to go back as C next game and this was just a temporary spark thing. Yes he scored on a line with Pacioretty in the 4-5 shifts...but he also created the turnover on the line that scored the 1st goal too as a C. The same line that has 3 goals in 3 games after adding Andrighetto.

Pacioretty-Plekanec-Galchenyuk line will no doubt be awesome and put up big numbers...but this will also hurt secondary offense by putting too much pressure on DD's line. Habs success on offense this season is from having 3-4 lines putting up a threat. They should give DSP another chance, he did score 2 vs NYR.

I agree completely.

It's not like Eller-Chucky-Ghetto hasn't been working out.

If it were me I would give smith-pally another chance with patches and pleks.

Just checked our schedule:

Devils, Jackets, Caps, Canes, Bruins, Red Wings, Sens, Sharks, Kings, Stars, Preds, Wild, Caps, Bolts

If Condon falters, we could lose a lot of points in the next month.
Therrien denied the report and said Price hasn't been assessed by the doctors yet so he doesn't know where they could have got that information.

@DGelevan: RDS report says Price is out for a month:https://t.co/IcbeusczTE Therrien says he doesn't know where they got that & Price hasn't seen Dr

Only caught the last 10 or so minutes plus OT. From what I hear, it's good I missed the first 50ish. Saw the tying goal, OT, and the shootout.

Only saw, I think, one Bud Holloway shift. He looked pretty solid on the forecheck. How was he? As long as he brought more than Semin was, I'm happy.

Condon looked great from what I saw.

Saw Pateryn too - is Emelin hurt again?

Its also possible MT still has beef with Francois Gagnon after he called him out in the playoffs last year for his player management and wants to embarrass him.

Play Condon 3 games, then put Tokarski in for the 4th. Condon seemed mentally checked out by game 7 when Price was hurt the first time.
MT doesn't even play Price in back to back games when it's in two days in a row. I fully expect Tokarski to start the next game. Hopefully the team will play better so they have some sort of chance to win.

People were ragging on Alex for no reason. Both he and Eller were playing fairly well.
If people choose not to factor in their dside duties there is not much else that can be said.
Alex Galchenyuk is far better defensively than we could ever have hoped for.
Thank You Plecky...

As a Habs fan you saw the best part of the game from. Until Ghetto scored in the 2nd period the Habs were pretty listless and awful for the most part.

If Kinkaid starts tomorrow having Tokarski in is fine. It's very unlikely that the Devils win with Kinkaid in net.

I hope MT is correct though and Price hasn't seen a doctor and they don't know for sure how long he's gonna be out yet. Fingers crossed.

Damn.. That's gonna be a really tough road trip at the end of December probably without Price. :(

So they are showing Habs games at Brutus on Fridays. I was one happy Habs fan.

Good to know. Glad you enjoyed it. How was the ambiance and food? What did you have/ like?

MT is correct, Price will not be gone 1 month, he'll be gone 6 weeks....:)

I think the Habs should look for goaltending help. I know Condon is holding down the fort but his confidence being a rookie can probably be rattled while Tokarski has been brutal from the beginning of last season.
The key will be not to overwork Condon.

Was it just me or was there one shift after Max sent Galchenyuk on his way where Patch seemed to have a bit more jump to his stride? He was only half a step away from the classic blow by with a cut inside while protecting the puck maneuver. This is great news if so because I'm still worried that his initial kick is gone forever.

Good thing the Habs had that 9-0 start. It gives us some cushion heading into December. December will be a challenge for the Habs and if they can make it through the month with a .500 or above record that would say a lot about the team and its ability to handle adversity.
