Up front, the Islanders boast a number of players who were in the AHL for a long time and would still be in the AHL if not for a team like the Islanders being bad enough for them to get ice time and inflate point totals. It's unfortunate that last season's Islanders didn't exist in Keith Aucoin's heyday, because I'm pretty sure he'd be on their first line.
