The season is now 14 games deep for some teams.

What are some individual/team stats that surprise you so far?

Some stats that are surprising to me:

- Dallas has the 3rd worst goal differential.. last year they finished 3rd best. (granted, they are/have been beat up like crazy with the injury bug).

- The Jackets had the best PP percentage thru 10 games this season out of every team in the past 32 years (stat was said on Fox Sports Ohio broadcast a few games ago). Lead the league in PP percentage, 2nd best PK percentage... beyond surprised.

- Marc-Andre Fleury has a GAA of above 3.00 thru his first 10 games this season, never would've thought that. Pens fans, has he really been that bad?

- Andrei Markov & Shea Weber have both played in 13 games this season for the Habs... the only difference... Weber is a +15.. Markov is a -2... woah. That's huge gap for so early on in the season. :amazed:

- Devan Dubnyk has given up just 13 goals in 9 games. His career has stunted like craaaazy since being traded to the Wild for a 3rd round pick in 2015. Good for him.

Calgary has a penalty problem

Sam Bennett leads the league with 13 minor penalties taken.

Giordano and Dougie Hamilton are both tied for 3rd with Malkin with 9.

that's 31 minor penalties between 3 guys on 1 team :amazed:

The Flyers actually have a positive record in the shootout at 2-1

The Devils are 1-0 in shootouts so far. At least I can also say they have a winning shootout record for now.

How about Michael Grabner with 7 goals in 14 games?

I can't see Grabner scoring 41 goals this year. He did score 34 once, but I don't see that as being anywhere near sustainable.

yeah, Johansen has 1 goal in 12 games. surprising to say the least... Has he been struck by bad luck so far or has his play just been that bad?

Exactly. Injuries.

The Pes are bad defensively. Look up their D. I wouldn't expext it to be good, especially when Letang msses some time.

- Andrei Markov & Shea Weber have both played in 13 games this season for the Habs... the only difference... Weber is a +15.. Markov is a -2... woah. That's huge gap for so early on in the season. :amazed:

Not a surprise at all if you watched the World Cup. Markov is officially old.

That's absurd at this point. There are always hot and cold streaks. 90% of them will have fine stats by the end of the season.
