The Kessel trade is what made him look good, because he got two high firsts and a second. What makes it even funnier is that he traded away Seguin and Peverley (who they got for Wheeler), for what is now nothing for Boston.
I wouldn’t call winning The Cup as nothing. All those trades worked out for the win in 2011. Peverley was great that year and Seguin had a few great games. What happened after that year is another story. But to call it a fail is a huge distortion of the fact the Bruins won The Cup with those trades.
