since the season will be here soon, what are some surprises and unlikely scenarios you think will happen during preseason and regular season?


Zac Jones forces himself in the top pairing on the Powerplay out score Fox on the PP
Lafy scores 40 goals 20 assist over 85 PIM
Othmann has a good enough preseason to stay and does not look back. Gets top 9 mins And 2ed PP time scores 35 goals 20 assist 100 PIM if plays full season.
Kakko is healthy and scores 10 goals 50 assist. He becomes a playmaker instead of a goal scorer
Cuylle goes to AHL and struggle and sent to ECHL
Lundkvist gets traded for nothing like Graves and has a good career
Halak gets hurt long term in preseason and Rangers take chance with Garand as backup.

Mika was pretty consistent this season. Finished PPG and had no crazy good/bad stretches

That wouldn't surprise me. His game is almost perfect for a top 9 role with some pp2 time.

I think Othmann is further away than some folks think. His physical play gives him an edge over teens but doesn’t against physically mature pros. I love that part of his game but he’s not going to be bumping NHLers off the puck with regularity next season.
